You want to hurt me
Give me the pain you think I gave you
Clueless to the darkness I feel and see
Oblivious to the true pain of what can’t be
The fact that I want more than others can believe
Mind seeing the future and what should be
Clinging to the reality of strong willed determining
Call it stupidity
Goals and dreams I obviously seek
Instead of hiding them within pipe dreams
I give them open air credibility
Knowing that they are there
Instead of attempting to keep them in Pandora’s Box of things
Feel my heart still beat
Knowing that you have chosen to be MY ENEMY
Turning the other cheek
For I won’t treat you like the villain you chosen to be
Thoughts of me being weak
My softness against you negatively speak
See, it takes strength
Incredible real strength
To embrace being the enemy that cares about things
Captive of my own feelings
Seeking release
Destroying them would make it all cease
Yet knowing that is the cowardice way to think
Embraced I merely look at the attacks upon me
See the hatred that seethes in those hearts for my being
When the lies and dirt are being flinged
My temper wants to well up
Rise up and smite them completely
Thinking that it would justify their violations of me
Truth being is that the darkness has changed me
Giving into it has allowed True Love to be
Given me the strength to take the beatings by those that are supposed to be close to me

Example of sacrificing myself for the good things
